Friends of Bronte Creek Park
Come on out to the first annual fall festival going on at the Park on September 26 and 27.
Lots of things to do for both young and old! Tour a turn of the century farmhouse, see demonstrations of apple cider pressing and blacksmithing, pick and carve your own pumpkin. It's all included with your admission to the park. The Childrens playbarn and farm (Lot C) will also be open and we will have complimentary wagon rides running between it and the Festival at Spruce Lane Farm (Lot F).
The Friends of Bronte Creek have provided the park with 13 apple trees to allow the set up of a demonstration apple orchard. These trees are typical of the varieties that would have been found on farms in the area 100 years ago and will be used by NHE staff when doing interpretive programs. The next time you're down by Spruce Lance Farm wander over and take a look!
Come take a dip in our 1.8 acre outdoor swimming pool. It will be open daily from 11am-6pm until Labour Day (Monday September 7, 2015). Pool is an additional cost to daily vehicle admission.
Our latest members of the farm are a litter of piglets born on Saturday, May 17. You can now visit them at the pig barn at Spruce Lane Farm.
