Birthday Parties
Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a great place to host a birthday party! I have listed a few themes and suggestions on how to host a birthday party at the park.

Limitations
We have the space and in some cases the facilities for you to run a party for kids or adults. We do not have group rates or packages. We do not have designated staff available to attend to your specific group.

Organizers of the party can pre-pay for Daily Vehicle Permits (DVP) for their guests. With at least 2 weeks notice you can call the park to arrange to pay and pick up the non-refundable date stamped DVP's. It is your responsibility to distribute the DVP's to your guests prior to them arriving at the front gate. If they arrive without their DVP they will be required to pay for their own DVP. Please call 905-827-6911 (M-F 8:30am - 4:30pm) at least 2 weeks before your party date.

General tips

  • Post directional signs to your meeting place. Use BIG, BOLD printing "Joe's Party". Post these signs on the white board below the green parking lot signs.
  • Blue's Clues---use paw prints to direct guests.
  • Make cupcakes and decorate the top---easier to distribute to kids.
  • Order pizza for PICK-up or deliver TO THE FRONT GATE. Delivery trucks will not be permitted past the gate.
  • Pin the tail on the donkey, barn tours, feed the goats, 'farmer' bandanas for each guest.
  • Visit the nature centre or Spruce lane farmhouse when open.---check when you pick up your DVP's
  • Have lots of juice or water on hand in warm weather. ---freezies etc.
  • Paper towel, wet wipes, garbage bag, wagon (to transport gear).
  • Balloons, streamers etc. can be used to decorate your area. Please remove upon your departure.
  • Bounce houses, caterers, clowns etc. are allowed---they will need DVP's.

    FAMILY PICNIC PARTY - May - Oct.
    Large groups can reserve a picnic shelter (Father's Day - mid-Sept.) by calling 905-827-6911 ext 288 or if the party date falls outside of the reservation period, groups can use the shelters on a first come first serve basis. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit.

    Smaller family gatherings can group picnic tables together under a shade tree. Numerous table and trees are available. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit.

    CAMPING PARTY - April - October
    For the more adventuresome! Ghost stories, campfires, marshmallow---perfect! You can reserve one of the group camping sites through the campground office (905) 827-3228. There is a charge for the site, each person and each vehicle. Each of the 4 group sites holds a maximum of 25 people. These sites are away from the main area of the campground-providing some amount of privacy. Or reserve a single regular electrical site (up to 6 people per site). Reservation can be made by calling 1-888-668-7275 or on line at www.OntarioParks.com. All guest vehicles must obtain and display valid permit.

    SKATING PARTY - December 20 - end of Feb.
    Outdoor skating parties are possible during the rink season. However you need to have a backup plan just in case the weather is too mild or too severe. The rink area offers heated change rooms, skate rentals, music and snack bar. There is an outdoor gathering area around the bonfire that is perfect for enjoying your hot chocolate. The snack bar does not reserve table areas or skates. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit.

    MAPLE SYRUP PARTY - March
    March is a special time at Bronte Creek. Weekends and during the week of March Break visitors can enjoy a traditional maple syrup festival complete with pancake meals and tours of maple lane. Your group can enjoy a guided tour of Maple Lane where you will learn and experience the technological changes in syrup production over the past 400 years. Let the guide know who the birthday person is and they will be able to participant in a special maple tradition. Tables are not reserved. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit.

    POOL PARTY - July and August
    The park maintains a 1.8 acre outdoor swimming pool that is guarded by certified and trained lifeguards. The pool gradually slopes to a maximum depth of 6 feet. Food and picnic coolers are permitted in the pool area. Smoking and dogs are not permitted. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit. There is an additional per person fee to use/ enter the pool area.

    PLAYBARN PARTY - all seasons
    Perfect for kids under 10 years of age. There is a little room off to the side of the playbarn that has 3 little picnic tables (seats 12). This room is NOT RESERVABLE ---it is available on a first come first serve basis and remains available to other park visitors for access to heat/ air conditioning and vending machines. This room can be decorated, but please remove all decorations upon your departure. The playbarn is open daily 9:00am - 4:00pm throughout the year. All guest vehicles must obtain and display a daily vehicle permit.
