Farm Day at Bronte Creek Provincial Park:

Who: The Friends of Bronte Creek Park and the park staff invite everyone looking to have an old fashioned good time in an authentic Victorian setting to visit Bronte Creek Provincial Park on August 22 between 11 and 4. Farm Day is a chance to step back to a simpler time. Children will enjoy the pony rides, and heritage activities and demonstrations. Parents will enjoy the historical demonstrations and touring the farmhouse built in 1899. There is something for everyone!

What: Farm Day - A whole day dedicated to celebrating life in a Victorian era farming community. There is an extra cost for pony rides, wagon rides. Visitors will get a real sense of what it was like to live in 1890's farming community. They worked long, hard hours and they enjoyed family and community celebrations.

When: August 22, 2009 from 11:00am - 4:00PM

Where: Bronte Creek Provincial Park day-use area is located between Oakville and Burlington just north of the QEW on Burloak Drive (exit 109). Activities offered in and around Spruce Lane Farmhouse near parking lot F.

How: Daily Vehicle Permits apply. $15.00/ car. Additional fee for food purchases, wagon rides and pony rides.

Why: A fun and interesting family program to see, hear about, and experience life as it was in an Ontario farming community in the Victorian era.
